ABOUT
Samantha Starr - Director
My professional background includes career fields with policies and standards inclusive of state and federal laws. These experiences have shaped my professional development, knowledge, and understanding of the various gaps within our government system at the state and national levels.
Over the last two years, I have transitioned my career to what I am passionate about helping progress in society; systems advocacy.
I am also certified through the Washington State Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery Supports Unit and a Peer Specialist.
My lived experience has given me a better understanding of the various trials and tribulations I have encountered throughout my life. In addition, I now understand how to utilize my experience in a productive, positive way.
I have served on the Puget Sound Educational Service District (PSESD) Policy Council for the past three years; currently, I represent the Council as Secretary/Treasurer-elect.
In 2022 I was also chosen to represent The Washington State Association (WSA) of ECEAP and Head Start as a 14th Year Parent Ambassador.
